Momentous Oonirisa Coronation Ceremony Today in Yoruba Homeland

TODAY, the Earth in the ancient town of  Ile Ife will judder with pomp and pageantry as Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II    The 51st Ooni ascends the throne.

Ile-Ife  is regarded by the Yoruba world  as the cradle of humanity and spiritual home of every Yoruba man, woman and child.

Today, the handsome young king Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi will  step out in majesty, wearing the Yoruba  beaded veiled  crown before the whole world to be proclaimed as the rightful owner of the throne.

Over the last few days a frenzy of preparations has been in action , private security, police, road traffic cops are all very visible in the major town of Osun State.”

Colourful banners  are pinned all over Ile -Ife to welcome the new king,and the roads are receiving a facelift.

People from all over the Yoruba world have been invited, and expectedly the local hotels are enjoying the boom in business.

 

In the words of the 100 year old Olubadan of Ibadan,  Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1,  we wish “the new Ooni a great tenure, long life and prosperity”
